Being a Makeup Artist that has worked in both counter and on location settings, I can honestly say that there is nothing better than a personal consultation at the location of your choice. A few reasons why:
- Privacy! There's nothing worse than sitting in a store as people walk pass you and stare wondering what's being done (especially if the makeup is done properly)
- Personalization! If you are dealing with a reputable makeup artist, he/she should be able to provide you tips about things important to your day in addition to makeup!
- On Your Schedule! You can set up an appointment time that works for you, not Mall hours!
- Last but not least..... Relationship building! You should be able to connect with the person that has such an important part to play on your big day. Phone calls, emails, anything you have concerns about, the artist should be able to address.
